synthtap is a free browser game run by Juha Väisänen ("we"). By playing it or submitting a score, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

Health warning

The game uses flashing lights, bright colours and fast motion. A small number of people may have seizures triggered by such images. If you or anyone in your family has epilepsy, talk to a doctor before playing. Stop playing immediately if you feel dizzy, have blurred vision, eye or muscle twitching, or any other discomfort. Keep the volume at a comfortable level, especially with headphones.

The leaderboard

Submitted names and scores are shown publicly. When you submit a score:

• Use a nickname. Don't use your real name, or anyone else's name or personal information.
• Don't use names that are offensive, hateful, sexual, harassing, impersonate someone, or advertise anything.
• Submit only scores you earned by playing normally. No bots, scripts, modified game code, or sending requests to the server directly.
• Don't try to overload, attack or get around the limits of the game or its server.

You give us permission to store and publicly display the name and score you submit. We may remove or change any entry, block submissions, or reset the leaderboard at any time, without notice.

Use of the game

You may play synthtap for free for your personal enjoyment, and share links to it and your results. The game, its music, artwork and code belong to us, except third-party parts, which are used under their own licences (for example, the fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License).

No guarantees

The game is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always work, be free of errors, or keep your scores. We may change, pause or shut down the game or the leaderboard at any time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what data the game handles.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to play means you accept it. Questions or a request to remove a leaderboard entry: [email protected].
